Thursday March 28 Meeting

Our March meeting will be on Thursday, March 28, 2019.   This meeting will start at 6.30 pm in Room C.  We are so excited to have Sherri Lynn Wood as our Guest Speaker!  She was the Keynote Speaker at QuiltCon 2019.  How lucky are we!

The lecture will be Ruler Mashup.  It is an interactive performance.  Ruler free improv patchwork will be demonstrated and performed on the spot according to audience prompts and participation.  Please bring a medium size fabric to place in the pot.

Cost of the lecture will be $10 for non members (unless you are in the workshop).

The structure of the meeting will be different than our normal meeting.  We will have brief announcements, Show & Tell, then Sherri's lecture!

                     
We will have books for sale for $21.

Feb 26, 2019 Meeting Recap

Below is a recap of our Tuesday, Feb 26, 2019 Meeting.  More details will be in our newsletter sent out to members.

Our President, Eve Howes opened the meeting at 6.30 pm! This new time seem seemed to help many members not feel rushed to get to the meeting.  We had  2 new members join!  We had 2 guests attend!  Welcome!

Loretta reminded everyone the meeting in March will be on a Thursday - March 28 at 6.30pm in Room C.   Sherri Lynn Wood will be our speaker and the lecture will be Ruler Free Mashup.  Sherri will be present ruler free improv patchwork preformed on the spot according to audience prompts and participation.  Please bring a medium size fabric to throw in the pot for choices. 

Loretta asked for help with a few items needed for the meeting (sewing machine, iron board, iron, etc) and several members volunteered. 

Loretta passed around the BOM selections.  This will begin in April.

The next Sew-in will be Saturday April 13 at Project 658.

Eve reminded everyone of the sale table and there were alot of selections!  The proceeds will go to the Guild.

Teresa Raleigh presented all her favorite gadgets! It was a fantastic presentation!  Teresa also created a spreadsheet of where you can purchase most of the items.  Several of them were  handmade.
