Meeting Tomorrow Night

Our August meeting is tomorrow night. Be sure to bring your Habitat blocks (12.5") and your fabric for the swap (fill a quart size bag of fabric for your partner to make something for you.)
Bring a sew and tell too. :)

Hello All! 
Our next meeting is this Thursday, August 25 at 6:00.  We meet at the Morrison Regional Library.  (7015 Morrison Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28211(704) 416-5400.) 


We are having a paper piecing lesson from our own Gail Toliver! Thanks Gail! 


Please remember to bring: 
Your finished Habitat Blocks (12.5") 
Your quart size ziplock bag filled with fabric for our swap. 
(You will be paired up and your partner will make something 
for you from your fabric.)
Wear a sewn or quilted nametag and you'll be entered in a drawing! 
 
Be sure to upload pics of your Habitat blocks to our Flickr group. 
We want to see everybody's! There are also some great discussion threads 
you won't want to miss.

August Meeting

Our August Meeting will be Thursday, August 25, 6:00-7:30 at Morrison Regional Library.

We are looking for someone to teach a mini workshop/lesson on paper piecing. If you would like to teach this 10 minute tip, you will receive a $10 gift card as a thank you.

Such a great meeting tonight! I am thrilled there are so many people interested in modern quilting and happy that you all are such a fun and funny bunch!

Habitat Challenge Blocks:
Make 2 blocks with your 3 fat quarters.
You may add one solid of your choice.
Finished block size: 12.5"
Blocks should be made of squares and/or rectangles only.
Blocks due at our next meeting.

Be sure to check out the Flickr group for discussions and be on the lookout for a tutorial on how to make a Flickr mosaic for our upcoming scrap swap.
