February BOM - Let's explore the color of the year

Color of the year meets block of the month.

In 2012 it was TANGERINE TANGO.  This year the Pantone color of the year is EMERALD.

The Pantone website describes EMERALD as:

"Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty
that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony."

Let's have fun with this color and make a block (or more) for the February BOM.  This month's block is the X's and O's block from the Missouri Star Quilt Company.  Remember, each block you make gets you a chance to WIN THEM ALL.  This one is going to be fun.  Let's see if we can get enough blocks turned in to make a nice sized lap quilt!

Block:          X's and O's
Color:          Emerald tones on a white background
Tutorial:      http://quiltingtutorials.com/all/xs-os-quilt-block-easy-quilting-tutorials/

EDITED TO ADD: Please note this tutorial makes one block that will be  5" square.

A recap of the January meeting and lots of other good quilty news will be posted soon.

  1. So should we join 4 of the 5" blocks together to make one big "x" block? Or just keep them separate?
