June’s program is going to be so exciting! We’ve booked Lee Chappell Monroe to come visit our guild and speak. Lee will be speaking about her quilting path, showing a “ton” of quilts, and talking about the patterns she’s designed.
Here’s a bit more about Lee, straight from her blog www.maychappell.com.
"Lee has been creating since she first discovered crayons at age 2! She’s from a family of quilters and learned everything from her mother, affectionately known as The Guru. She loves all things fabric—from zippy pouch to queen size quilt—and everything in between. With a love of color and bold graphic shapes, Lee enjoys designing patterns and teaching all types of classes, while sharing her adventures on her blog, www.maychappell.com. She is a trained graphic designer which shows in her clean aesthetic. She was runner up in the Accuquilt Barn Quilt Design Competition and her work has appeared in multiple publications, including Stitch and Quiltmaker. She is Vice President of the Triad Modern Quilt Guild. Lee lives in beautiful North Carolina with Mack the Chihuahua."
Please visit Lee’s blog to check out more of her work – and a great series of tips every Tuesday.
We are so happy to welcome Lee to Charlotte, and would love for members and guests to join us on June 30th at 6 pm, at St. Gabe’s.
