July 30 Meeting Recap

Our first meeting in our new Room and we had a great turnout!  And the room is very nice.
We also had around 90 placemats turned in to bring our total to 290! Good job everyone and keep them coming!

Our program was one Favorite tips and we had fun listening to the great tips. Teresa gave a demo on sewing curves by using glue sticks instead of pins and it turned out wonderful.

Loretta announced we are bringing Kitty Wilkin aka the NightQuilter to our Guild in October.

The lecture will be on Thursday, Oct 24 at 6.30 pm.
Kitty will be teaching the Pollinate Pillow, which is English Paper Piecing on Friday, Oct 25 from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.  The cost for Members $60 plus $15 for the pattern.  Non Members is $75 plus $15 for the Pattern.
On Saturday, Oct 26 she will be teaching Tiny Piecing - which is tiny paper piecing!  The cost will be $30 for Members and non Members will be $45.

She has taught at QuiltCon and her 100 days of tiny piecing was on display at QuiltCon in Nashville.

Please email Loretta at lmls088@yahoo.com to sign up.  She will be taking payment at the August meeting.

We also had a sew in at our meeting location of St. Gabriel on Saturday July 27.  There will be another Sew In scheduled in September at the church. Stay tuned! It was fun!

Our Block of the Month is turning out wonderful!  Please keep bringing them to the meeting.

We had lots of Show and Tell!  Check out the pictures!
