Jan 2019 Meeting Recap

Below is a brief recap of our Tuesday, Jan 29, 2019 Meeting.  More details will be in our newsletter

New officers for 2019!

Changing the start time of the meeting  was discussed and everyone agreed/liked starting at 6.30 pm.
The Church is fine with the change.  Going forward the meetings will start at 6.30 pm

March 28 (a Thursday!) Sherri Lynn Wood - Ruler Mash-Up $10 fee for non members
 ** March 29 Workshop - Modern Block Improv $85 members, $100 non members - spaces available
 ** March 30 Workshop - Patchwork Doodle  FULL!
April 30 - Friendship Tray speaker - our charity
May 28 - Place mat sew in for Friendship Trays
June 25 - Quilters Gallery Color Lecture
July 30 - Quilt Con Charity Quilt
Aug 27 - Truck Show by Ellen Apte
Sept 24 - Social Media Presentation
Oct 25 (a Friday!) Kitty Wilkin aka The Night Quilter - The many faces of Fussy Cutting Lectures
** Oct 26 - three hour workshop the Pollinate Quilt

A reminder about the Women's Auction for the St. Gabriel's  - small hand made items. quilts, place mats due in the Fall.  A definitive date to follow.

A discussion  was held about possible fund raising opportunities.  It was decided to try a sale table, where members bring items they would like to donate and the Guild benefits from the sale.  If it is not sold, the donor takes their items back.  A raffle quilt was discussed but it was decided not to go forward.

A Block of the Month will start in March, offered through Fresh Lemon Quilts.  It is $15 per person and a block will be sent via email to the recepients.  The blocks choices will be finalized and shown to the members during the Feb Meeting. If any are interested that weren't at the Jan meeting please contact Loretta (  The $15 will be collected in Feb.
