Trusting that all of us are staying at home and choosing ways to remain healthy and safe! Many of us are making masks and doing all we can to support our communities during this time. Here are a few areas that can certainly use our help:
Jane LeBlanc has received a request for 300 masks for the Domestic Violence Center. These are just simple masks. She will be the dropoff person for any masks you could give them. Contact 2boyzmom.leblanc@gmail.com There are quite a few free patterns online. We have found the Missouri Star pattern to be simple and easy for masks that don't need to meet the high standards of a health care facility.
We have also received the following letter from Atrium Health outlining ways we can help them in their time of need:
Rally the Troops!!!
Atrium Health locations are in desperate need of homemade face masks to supplement the limited supply of N95 masks. They have requested help from the community at large in making masks to keep their patients and healthcare professionals safe. We know that the supplies needed to make these they way they want them are hard to find - but if you can help, please do. Please read the letter below and help if you can.
Dear Community Volunteers,
Below you will find links to the updated and improved instructions for homemade face masks with graphics. Note: The mask design has not changed, it is the same.
Instructions for adult masks.
Instructions for pediatric masks.
Please be sure that you place all masks in a bag for donating. Atrium prefers plastic bags (such as trashbags) and it should be tied or closed. We will not be able to accept loose masks placed into the collection bins.
Donated sewn face masks are being accepted right now.
Take care and stay safe!!!
