ReplyDeleteHey U All . . .I have an annoucement (I hope I'm not breaking any rules ! ! ! If I am, I TRULY, & THOROUGHLY apologize for my actions.) I will have a really great Janome Decor 5018 starter machine with a Sew Sturdy Table - 18" X 24"- bobbins & numerous feet to include a free motion foot, AND a 1/4" foot, & WALKING FOOT is also available for sell for $300.00. It's a great workhorse and have never had it in the shop - tension is excellent ! ! ! Never fooled with it. I have never had a minutes trouble out of it. I'll even show how to maintain it by removing some of the machine components and clean it out - that's how I maintained it during my tenure. I have the original instruction booklet that came with the machine. And the best part - you don't have to oil it (if you don't believe me, I'll let you read the User's Guide.) I purchased the machine at the Sewing Bird when it was still a physical shop and Ms. Anne was the owner. (I remember being employed by her during a couple of inventory seasons & she was a great Lady, and gave quilters - new or experienced - a guiding hand.) I have quilted King and Queen sized quilts on that little domestic not knowing there were other advanced machines out in the world, at that time; I just thought, this is how's it's done in then quilting world. Back in the day, May 2002, I paid $400.00 (I have the receipts to prove it); that was really expensive back then. Well, anyway, my asking price is due to the table, the free motion foot, walking foot, and quarter inch foot & due to the care & good shape of the machine, while use in my care & feet purchased as my years of quilting advanced. Well, with the grace of God and all the quilting angels flying around me . . . I have finally found a machine I really like and can grow into; I don't need 2 machines, since I've survived 10 years with only this one, which is a testament of how I've taken care of it - I figured, if I took care of one machine for 10 years, I certainly will take of the next/new machine with the same loving care as the first. I'm thinking, we were all novice at one point and used a beginner machine - so I thought that maybe there may be a budding quilter or seamstress that one of you may know who needs a great little workhorse machine to fulfill their needs; did I mention the cute little snipper holder magnet on the front, so snippers are always at the ready for snipping threads? I will be happy to bring the Janome Decor 5018 to April's meeting, or March, if some is interested - just let me know in enough time to pack'em up (yes. . . my machine is is a man . . .I named him Steeler, after my most favorite football team EVER ! ! ! !) We've shared MANY, MANY Superbowls together . . . (LOL). I plan to sell/part with my machine the 3rd week of May (2012) - because, I will pick up my new machine in the 2nd week of May - it's my birthday present to myself.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me share. . . Please think about my offer and let me know via Madame President, Guild forum, or personal email - grovypiecesingminor@yahoo.com. . .
Thanks, again . . . Seeya' in the meeting room.
